Written by Michael Fields, with songs crowd sourced from the community, co-directed by Roman Sanchez and Michael Fields. This will be a co-production with Dell'Arte and will be part of the 2026 Baduwa't Festival in June 2026. The original Mary Jane the Musical, featuring the iconic Joan Schirle in the title role, opened in 2011. It has been 15 years. The world of cannabis has had the ground shift under it. A new generation is shouldering the effort. Mary Jane's grandson is the at the center of it all. A musical for our times and place. The songs and the stories will be crowd sourced from the community.
